What if we fail the medical check up? we are not allowed to do practical?

    • admin says:

You are only required to do tests for syphillis, hepatitis and other typical infectious diseases. You should be able to pass these tests without a doubt. You must be in a healthy condition to do attachment. If you failed these tests, you will NOT be allowed to do attachment and you should seek immediate medical helps!

i have a little problem with my RECO card …its date of birth is totally different frm my real passport but the name is the same…Would i end up in trouble like paying 1500 roub instead 410 because as i know most of my friends are having this problem ?

  • rickettsiae says:

With RECO also need to pay? can’t the 175 USD for RECO even cover a medical check up? better than 1500 rbls of course, but still….

  • chase jarvis says:

totally agree with rickettsia. and pls change the picture of the attachment. it looks distasteful.

  • student says:

  • ben says:

um.. a question, saturday and sunday, no attachment right?
cuz, it’s quite confusing that, in the previous topic attachment, stated “practical class” only from monday to friday.
and 31 of july is saturday, so, this is where i find ambigous.

According to what we know, we will be doing it in our usual teaching hospitals. However, the full schedules will be announced only in May because they must accommodate all students including the russian medium ones and they are still collecting names from those students. We will see then. BTW, do check out your medical check up schedule. Thank you.

  • Yee Sheng says:

Still the old Question, is it compulsory for us to do it here?
i know we cant do in malaysia but can we do in other countries?
    Thanks!

    • admin says:

Yes. You need to it here. It’s final now.

      • Yee Sheng says:

        omg….
Many of my professor told me that most of those english speaking Dr. have the habits to go for vacation during summer holiday.
It means that we have a very high chance to get those old and only-understood-russian Dr as tutor?
Or, did the dekanat told us that the attachment thing is being conducted in english course?
Or everything is still a variable now?

  • Jeff says:

ape la SMSA, b4 election cakap ape fight for student right la.. ape ape tu…
after that, hanya tahu obey obey..CULTURE of YA BETUL…

  • Right mind says:

I think rather then pointing fingers maybe mr jeff should also consider the things being done for students here. Before the elections, they said they would try to do wat is best in their power to settle the attatchment problem and nostrification problem. As you can see they even have started doing the translation for students instead of actually just simply telling us where to do it. I guess the question about the practicals are also solved and they have shortened the period for the 4th years as well. The part where you maybe failed to understand was the part where they said they will try to settle questions that students had about the practicals such as when should students do it…how long must students do it… Is it obligatory…and so on. Wether it is to be done in Malaysia or Russia doesn’t really depend on the student board already. It was postponed last year with a phrase stating that it will be started this year already. It was something decided on last year not this year. I think rather than blaming one another students in Moscow should actually try making the student council stronger by first participating. It has been so long that a CNY open house was not held. N recently when it was held, how many people came? Before complaining plz ask urself how much do u actually support the student association first. Would be very much grateful for that. Even the website is updated very often if u actually notice compared to previous ones. Its gud to have people complaining as in a way the board will work harder to prove themselves worthy and for the better of all students but first of all i think all students should acknowledge the student society and do support events and the info produced for all of u. Make this place a more united one. Thanks to all students in advance.

  • agree says:

i think it is obvious to know when people are complaining when there are really flaws..and when people are talking just to condemned

a full grown up matured stable minded person can obviously see and feel grateful for what had been done for them which were not even exist before

u are doing a good job guys..keep it up

feel proud with to be a sechenovian

  • sarene says:

is it really necessary for us to do gynae examination, i don’t think we are really going to spend much time near patients, since part of the attachment might be in profsayuznaya, trying on dummies. feels like the gynaecologic examination is a bit too much.

its sort of invasive, instead of getting checked might get infected. and usually this sort of gynaecological examination is done on older women basically sexually active women, which doesn’t really involve the majority of students.

thanks a lot for all the things that u guys are doing so far. but would be really glad if u can help us (girls) with this matter.

    • admin says:

We will meet with Natalia Petrovna tomorrow. We will tell you the latest news as soon as we get them. Thank you!

  • charles says:

saya nak tanya, yang gyneacology examination tu mesti buat ke?i rasa procedure nie invasive…biasa nye examination nie utk perempuan yang dah kahwin je kan sebab dia orang kan sexually active??biasanye kita msian kebanyakan kan bukannye sexually active kan???

tapi procedure yg lain lain tu okla…pls think about this after all its jus a medical examination for attachment purpose why mus it be so intensive?

tq for attention, hope u all can reli help us.(esspecially girls)

    • admin says:

Hari ni, SMSA da wat perbincangan dengan Natalia Petrovna tentang masalah yang timbul iaitu ‘Vagina Exam’. As a result kita xperlu nak wat examination tu.
Just in case klu ade doctor yang nak buat, bgtau doktor berkenaan y kita xnak buat. Then xyah buatla.
Natalia juga btau bilik yang disediakan adalah berasingan bagi lelaki dan juga perempuan.

From 4th Year Reps Facebook Message:
These are a few things that you need to know for the medical checkup.

Prior you go to the clinic, make sure you have these few things with you:
      1. A photocopy of your student card
      2. A passport-size photo
      3. 450 Rubles (for processing a so-called “medical booklet”)
      4. Pen (for writing, you don’t want to be scolded by the babushka for borrowing her pen)
      5. Reso card (MOST IMPORTANT!)

Go earlier to register at the front counter. The counter will open around 8 or 8.30am. If you are later, you might find yourself stuck at a long queue with the locals cutting queue. Show your Reso card at the counter. They will give you two “talon” and a white booklet.
Next, wear a “bakhili” before you go in. They are free at the coat room counter.
Next, go to 3rd floor, room 307, find a old lady and pass the white booklet to her and she will write something in it. Then, she will tell you to go to the next room to sign something (some sort of permission to draw your blood). After signing the permission, the babushka will give you a paper with all the tests, but you don’t need to do everything, just these four things:
      1. General blood analysis
      2. Hepatitis viruses, HIV etc. blood test
      3. CXR
      4. Consult a therapist

The sequence of these tests is really depends on you. But it is advised that to do the both blood tests (No. 1 and 2) first and save No. 4 for the last one.

For the so-called “General blood analysis”, go to 4th floor, room 418. Here, a needle prick at the tip of your finger will be done and some blood will be taken. Make sure you warm your hands first, if not, they will call you to warm it on the heater and make you line up again. Here, they will take one of “talon” and the “permission” from you.

Next, go to 1st floor, room 104 (I think), to draw some blood from your arm.

Then, go to the 11th floor, the first x-ray room for CXR. This will take quite a long time and a long queue as the locals will line up their “way”. Don’t be surprise that they will cut queue also. So, make sure you stay there (or at least for one is there for you when you are not around).
A lot girls are worry that being exposed when doing the CXR. Although the first thing you need to do is to take off your top body clothes, but don’t worry, you will be the only one
in the x-ray room/changing room. One of the technicians (only two in the control room and both of them are ladies when I get mine done) just need to come in and clean the x-ray plate and position you properly, other than that, they will be sitting in another room, minding their own business. There are also a screen to block them from seeing you. Take a deep breath in and hold while they are doing the x-ray.

Next, go to 3rd floor again, the room beside you sign the “permission”, to see a physician/therapist. There, they will ask you a few questions, like, do you have any complaints, any chronic diseases, any allergy etc. B/P will be taken and breath and heart will be auscultate. Here, you will need to take off your top clothes again, but again, there’s nobody there except for you and the doctor.

After completing everything, you will need to do a so-called “medical booklet”, dark blue in colour. Leave the hospital building, while back towards the direction of “Kievskaya” metro station, but just before you reach the junction of the road, you will see green-coloured gate at your right. There’s the place you should go in. Open the gate, you will see a building in front, on your left hand side. Go to that building, go to 2nd floor and you will see the office, take a form and fill it up (there’s only one type of form on the table). Line up and wait for your turn. A lady will key in the particulars. Give them your photo and photocopied student card. Then, go to the cashier just behind her and pay 450 Rubles and place the receipt back to her. Then, wait until someone call you to confirm your particulars and wait again until the booklet is ready.

Next, go back to the hospital, go to 3rd floor again and put the white booklet and the “medical booklet” into a box provided (on the table near the nurse station) and you are done.
