Classes as usual!

Posted on Mar 29 in SMSA News @ Updatesby adminPrint>

Hi everyone,

Due to current situation happening in Moscow, SMSA is working very closely with our embassy and our dean’s office. Below are our advices for all Malaysian students in MMA:

  1. Metro is up and running now. But, apparently, Lena (dean’s office) was not at work and there was a misunderstanding. Emergency meeting between MMA officials was held late in the evening and after carefully reviewing all situations, they decided that classes will continue as usual.

  2. There are NO holiday for English Faculty. Therefore, everyone should go to class as usual. However, for those who did not went to class today (29th March 2010), you will be given ‘dopusk,

  3. Avoid going out unnecessarily. Be calm, these people are doing these devious actions to create havoc and panic. Don’t let them achieve their purposes.
  4. If you have any new information about the current events, please do contact any SMSA members.

Last but not least, SMSA hopes everyone be responsible of your own safety. Be careful and be aware of your surrounding. Don’t in any way approach any suspicious items or people. Thank you for your cooperation. We will update our website if there is any development.

Rather than hoping for this incident to not happen again, can’t we voice our concerns to the government to stop sending students to moscow? Within six years, two incidents of such have compromised the well-being of all of us here. Even apart from that, who is to say the roads are safe for us foreigners to walk on? I’m sure that everyone of us know someone (or maybe even yourself) who has had an unfriendly encounter that we would never have imagined to happen, yet in Moscow it seems action-packed movies are like what is seen right before our very own eyes.
I hope that this blog, this student council will enlighten the government about the situation here by collectively representing us because I know that I am not the only one with these worries.

And either then voicing your concerns to the Malaysian government, u ought to be thankful to them for sponsoring you guys here and giving you the opportunity to make your dream come true……
