Where it all begins..

What does War and Peace (1968), Dersu Uzala (1975), Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears (1980) and Burnt by the Sun (1994) have in common? All of them are winners of Academy Award for ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ and they are all made in Russia!

Russian film world has a very long history of excellence and uniqueness. Let’s get to know more about them! SMSA Cultural Bureau in cooperation with our Dean’s office excursion bureau are organizing a special day visit to The MosFilm Studio. Details are as followed:

• Date: 14th July 2010 (Wednesday)
• Time: 3.15pm
• Place: Gather outside Mosfilm Studio
• Price: 85 rubles for entrance fee (please bring your student’s card)
• Direction: From Metro Kievskaya, take trolleybuses № 7, 17, 34 or buses № 119, 205 until “Mosfilm” bus stop.

There are only limited places for this excursion! Therefore, please leave your full name, your 2009/2010 academic year and your phone number to your year reps. We will contact you as soon as possible if you are one of the lucky one.

There are film studio museum, film set, costume displays etc for you to see and experience, therefore you should act fast or you may lose this precious oppurtunity!
